California – Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in 13 counties, including the hardest-hit San Bernardino County, after a winter storm dumped feet of snow across the Golden State and trapped some residents inside their homes, according to CNN.
San Bernardino County Fire Chief Dan Munsey stated at a news conference that authorities had conducted nearly a hundred rescues as of Wednesday evening; however, no reports of serious injuries or fatalities have been received.
