Coco Lee, a Hong Kong singer-songwriter, perished on Wednesday after attempting suicide over the weekend, according to a Facebook post by her sisters. She was 46.
Lee sang the Mandarin version of “Reflection” from the 1998 Disney film Mulan, and she was also the first Chinese American to perform at the Academy Awards, performing the Best Original Song nominee “A Love Before Time” from Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Deadline reported.
