CANADA – Canadian Heritage Minister, Pablo Rodriguez, announced that the Canadian Government will suspend all advertising on Facebook and Instagram, citing the social media’s “unreasonable” and “irresponsible” decision to remove Canadian news from its platforms this month.
It is the first time the Canadian government take a stand against a giant U.S social media company, in an attempt to influence the the social media’s management decisions on the removal of political news.
