Elon Musk just announced that he’s hired a new CEO for Twitter. He will stay in charge of product development as CTO. Musk’s move to remove himself as CEO comes a few weeks after he asked Twitter users if he should continue as chief of the social media giant, the poll results were in majority of Musk not continuing as head of Twitter.
Today Musk has honored his promise to leave the position, although it is yet to be seen if he will let the new CEO fully take charge, or if he will be the one in charge behind the curtains.
Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!
